Yeah they work great, I actually bought about 20 of them about 5 years ago. Newegg had a really good deal were they would only cost about $1 dollar each, if you bought more than 20.

lol woops, it is a 9volt batter, I don't know why I thought it was 12 volts. I can only get about 4 hours of fan time, using one of the 9volt batteries, which is pretty crappy. Would it be possible to cut a usb wire and tap into the power that way? or would that be risky?


I was thinking of maybe using a spare car battery for the power source. One of those little 80mm fans could probobly stay on for a week running off a car batter.

i got an old 8o mm to run a good 8 hours off a good set of 4 AA rechargeables i thingk 2500ma/h or someting and a 12 v car battery would like make your laptop hover the amps put out of a 12v is way more than any psu my 80mm will suck itself up to the bat from all the air being moved. it nearly puts my house fan to shame XD
