Which do you guys recommend? I was told on another forum that the xeon cpu is for servers. Their L2 Cache is optimized for handling databases.

Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 Conroe 2.66GHz 4M shared L2 Cache LGA 775 65W Dual-Core Processor

I have an E6750 and an E8400 (Waiting for my RMA now) which is the desktop version of the E3110 and I can tell you from experience that the E8400 pwnz the E6750 as far as performance goes. The E3110 is supposed to be able to handle higher temps as it is a server based CPU but I did notice in the specs that it has a lower max recommended voltage so not sure on overclocking ability but I would bet you could run it at 4GHZ pretty easily on air using an after market cooler.

I'd go with the e6750, as far as OCing goes i have mine up to 3.2ghz on stock cooling and vcore. Can easily push it to 3.8 or 4 with better cooling im sure. Runs all my applications and games like a champ. Paired with my 8800gt i get 30+ fps always in crysis @ 1650x1080 on High settings.

E3110 (same chip as the E8400), hands down. Can't beat that 9x multiplier and that fantastic overclocking potential.
