Oh, I'm officially handing off the torch to JadeMiner. Good luck guys

~Gooda~
I am in this case with Havegooda... It's not that wire wanted to 'cap' you all... it's just that he, like myself, explained the rules how they were implemented always to other teams also. This happened to us (JBC) when I joined, and it has happened to other teams. As discussed in the thread you refer to, there was a comment made that some captains wait until a member swap to avoid this specific rule.

It's your team, and if you so decided... so be it. But, I find it against the spirit of OCN and the team folding competition. If you exclude wire because he was on another team, then you should exclude anyone who was on another team before (and in that case, actually drop Frank from the team, since he was on another team previously also).

I might sound harsh, but I think wire is being treated unfairly.

Note: this is my personal opinion. It's your team, and you decide

Edit: and I am sure you would have refused me for the same reason, since I was even more vocal than wire

Well. I'll let Frankie and Free decide. We are still a democracy here. lol

But I'd never leave my team mates stranded and fold for myself. I would have stuck it out till the end of the month Chozart. But that's just me.

If they want wire. that's cool. I got upset last night when I went back and read he was trying to get our points capped. I would never ask that. When people work as hard as they can. Why would you want to cut off their arms?

Forgive me for being blunt but we both know that this is a dumb-arse remark.

While I understand where Jade is coming from, I do see everyone's point in giving him an equal chance.

My standing is we had already placed him in line to fold with us for the coming time for when Gooda was out, I feel like taking that from him would be disrespectful and somewhat cheating wire out of an opportunity.

I am all for having wire join our team, but I think Jade's point was since he was on our "rival team", I am actually concerned that sabotage might come into play because of the competitive aspect.

First, it wasn't wire who first left JBC. Criswell was the first to leave, followed by myself, and then Schubie. Actually we all deserted him to be honest.

Maybe I am a little confused about the 'points being capped' issue. I assume you're referring to the incident when you replaced folders midway the month? If so, then I refer to my previous post. This has happened in the past several times (agreed, it had been a while). If you talk about *actual* point capping, then I'd like to know what happened.

To the first comment: yes it was.
A much better example would be to use myself as an example: if it were me, and not wire, would you have refused me also? The truth should be: absolutely! Since I acted the same way wire did.

But sabotage? Since wire comes from a NO LONGER existing team? To whose benefit would that be?

I'm in a bad mood today. I'm gonna go mow the lawns and chill out. Whatever you guys decide. I'm just gonna go chill out. Whatever your guys decide is fine with me. I apologize if that sounded a little harsh. But I would never ask for a person's points to be capped when they are folding hard and fast and legal. But that's just me.

ok, I am totally missing the point about 'a person's points being capped'. This has to be something different than the episode about replacing a folder in your team in which you lost the points of the previous folder (but still won the month). In that case, not a single person's points were capped. I am confused now. Please explain to me what happened, or at least refer me to a thread. I apologize for my somewhat harsh reaction also, since I thought you referred to the team-swap issue (and this post makes it clear to me you don't).

Thanks

I'm just saying.. Hypothetically, it is possible, but since I skipped the fact that the team disbanded, I stand corrected.

I honestly don't think that this question was meant in the way you interpreted it. He didn't want C2D's to be capped, but GPUs to be given a less strict cap than 2000ppd.

Something like this:
- GPU2 client is going to be capped at 2000ppd, since that's what most C2Ds do.
- What about the people producing 3k ppd with a dual core? (Shouldn't it be more fair to allow 3k ppd for the GPU2 client also? - my interpretation)

You could interpret the question either way, but in context, I am leaning toward my interpretation.

Seriously, I think wire didn't mean ANY malice toward anyone and had no intention toward capping anyone's point production. Note that *if* CD2s were capped to 2000ppd also, I (his teammate) would be a victim also.
