Yeah. We had one like that at work. It just ran 100% CPU - highest priority. Didn't do anything damaging. But make it impossible to even move around. The only way I zapped that little bugger was when task manager finally responded and I shut it down. Then the virus software took care of the rest.

Death and destruction is only tasty when the revenge is served cold.

So, keep frosty and visualize the 300K mark. That is the ONLY thing that should be in our heads from now until we achieve that goal.
LOL! That's why Frankie does so well. hahahaha...man, I can't stop laughing.
Talk about a competitive spirit! hahaha

I think I might be ordering myself an E8500 or E8400 later today. Would my Zalman be able to cut it? If I'm going to fold for you guys, I want us to hit 300,000 points and I know we could do it with me have a 4 ghz cpu.

Absolutely. My main folder for my team is running a zalman 9500NT and never gets above 57C. My backup folder is running a zalman 9700LED and never crosses over 52C. The 45nm run a whole lot cooler.

Yes Wire. Easily. The Zalman is already somewhat lapped. An E8400 is no problem for it. Frankie, XFree, and myself all have very fast E8400's. Make sure to PM Free for some tips on the very fastest E8400 you can get. Some are better than others. Make sure to stay away from the Q81**** series. They will barely hit 4.0Ghz even with 1.4+ vcore.

I'm running my 8400 at 1.4v 3.87ghz with a 13$ 3 pipe cooler (lapped of course). It did fine with ambients up to 87F. It doesn't get that much hotter in my house though.

Yeah those Q81 series are known for not going anywhere, really slow!
