Bad news. My room refuses to cool off. I have plantation shutters (the really heavy wood stuff) and they closed all the time. I simply cannot get enough air onto my MCP, Was running OCCT in windows and it auto shut down - last I looked my MCP was at 100*C on the dot

Im not turning on my computer untill those Spot coolers get here - Even on COLD BOOT (the heatsinks are at room temp) by the time I get to BIOS, my MCP is already 60*C and climbing 1*C every 10-20 secconds. I got into windows at 90*C

Looks like you'll have to either invest in an AC unit for your room or else WC

This is why I love my basement. It stays at a consistent 65F year round.

Yeah... well the thing is when it was in my case, it had alot more moving air in it. Now its just standing in the middle of my room

I might be able to scrape by if I take my table fan and soemhow point it right at my motherboard.... but Im skeptical

Or you just might have to run at *gasp* *cough* *cough*. Stock speed? That seems to almost be a swear word around these here parts.
That's why I got my cheapo water cooling. It doesn't really cool the CPU any more than a good air cooler. But it stays cool regardless of ambient temps. That's all I needed.
Glad those work Free. Looks like we all have G.Skill now. Hope Gooda gets off his grounding after running over the VW with the Hummer. Fyre, you are really doing good mate. Thanks. And Mega, that's for stopping by and honoring us with your presence
Ok, back to the rose bushes. I gotta find out which critter is eating them up at night. Adios!

Halfway through my latest WU...going strong.

I get a weird error, something about the WU being interrupted, but I restart the VM and it sends it and I get points and a new WU. Odd. It works, but still weird.
