Q6600 6 hours small FFT enough? - Page 4

Well either way you should do some test but around 6-8 hours is good for me.

What I generally do is run memtest (test 5) for a given amount of time atleast 20min before I boot into the OS. This is because the memory errors can be enormouse and can quickly hose your OS in a bad way. A 20 min test can save you hours of time.

Once I am satisfied with the memory, this also stresses your NB and cpu a bit and is enough to show that your not completely unstable. Then Ill boot into win and do either OCCT/prime/orthos and do them on large or small for 6 or so hours. Then I am satisfied and continue folding, if I can run folding and games nonstop without crashing then I consider it ok.

Some will say 24hours and such and sure if you want it to run that long go for it. I have before but I have also let it run for 36 hours at which point I have gotten errors. Does that mean I am unstable if it goes 36hrs until it crashes .......

Good oc have fun,

Well here you go! Still running fine when i got in. I stopped it cuz i wanna game, but here is the screen for it.

6 and half hours doing blend. NO ERROR! My temps are much lower doing Large FFT compared with small FFT. Im in the 50's doing blend.

BUMP. I am happy with the low voltage this took. And its completely stable.

I could go back to 3.6, but i dont really want to as I get 15k 3dmarks as is.
