For your 2GB go with FAT,
If it was over 4GB I'd use NTFS
And check out Info for some links on drive compatability and speed optimization.
And this one dirsctly from ReadyBoost HQ
Cheers

You're welcome;
Looking at your rig, It seems you prolly have enough change in the sofa cushions to scratch up enough for a 4GB for ReadyBoost!
For an actual Flashdrive, I reccomend a 8GB- (though with your kind of disposable assets -Just get a 16GB )
It can store more than a handful of CDs and is great for transferring gobs of stuff (even entire OS ISOs)
One of the fastest out there is the OCZ Rally2, or not quite as fast- (but really cool ) the one I have or their bastard step-child which is both rugged & Fast -double cool (nonNewEgg)
The Team Fusion is supposed to be the fastest, but, when I got mine it felt like it was made out of Tupperware plastic, the cap didn't fit well, and the drive almost constantly gives "this drive will perform better if it is connected to a High Speed USB 2.0 port" -which it is!, or it's not detected at all.
(their T-Bot series is quite well made though. (and kinda cool in a key-chain/ cellphone-dangly-thing sort of way -If you go for that sort of stuff!)
Cheers Again

Don't forget Kids:
ReadyBoost isn't just for Vista anymore!
Notice in the guide he repeatedly says:
Quote:
Once you have reached the screen above, select your flask drive...
...(if using a hard drive instead of a flask drive)...
A Flask drive?

Shouldn't we all have one of those?
