Sony Vaio Hard Drive Help

Thread Starter
So let me state if this was a computer or not my neighbors system (and thus his cash) I would not be having any issues. But since it's not and I really want to make sure before I spend his cash ordering one that I don't screw things up.

He has a dead as a doornail 160gig hard drive in his laptop. It was a Fujitsu MHV2160BT and really out of date. I know I need a laptop SATA drive but really is there anything else I need to worry about on the compatability side of things? If not I'll get him a nice solid one and just roll with it. Sony's website is of course flipping useless as every FAQ just says 'Please take to a certified Sony dealer'. Ya right. I want to pay 3 times the real cost to have some other goob do it.

THanks
Dave
