No, whats bogus is that you can buy a 9800GTX for ~$240 on Newegg. Someone at Newegg slipped and accidentally called it a 8800GTS though.

Bet you anything. When a graphically intensive game comes out. It would require SM 5.0 and it won't be compatible with this. You guys would have wasted your money.

I'm considering ebaying my cards and getting a 9800gtx, only because it will result in a single card solution, and less power consumption. At the end of the day too, I will have made some money back as well.

From what I read, the 9 series will finally allow for SLI'ed Dual Monitor view -- which prior to now has been a hassle and a half for me. Sure, it's a few extra clicks -- but it makes my htpc/gaming pc less steamlined.

As weird as it may seem. I am still going to get a second 8800GTX for SLI.

The 768MB makes it more worth it.

Looks to me like the main difference between this and the 8800 GTS 512 is the tri-SLI capability.

Do you guys think that 3 9800GTX and a sound card will fit into the nForce 780i SLI? The 9800GTX looks pretty big.
