Hey guys, this DFI's mobo has so many overclocking options as I am offically confused. Anyone know what I'm doing wrong???

or better yet, anyone that owns the Q660 and this board, what are your bios configuations?

here's the pics.

Hi

I do have the same board and use to run it with a Q6600. It's a great board for the Q6600.

how did you proceeded to get to 3.6? did you go directly to 3.6 at once?

I suggest you go step by step to find out what is not stable. Set everything back to stock or auto and work your way up in steps.

I do my overclock in 3 steps ususally:

1st: stabilize target FSB (400mhz in your case) with loose memory timing and low CPU multi (6x). Run prime95 blend test for 8 to 12 hours before declaring it FSB stable. if not stable, play with CPU VTT and northbridge vcore. vDimm is also a candidate depending on your mem ratio and final memory speed.

2nd: tighten memory timing. run memtest for 8-12 hours to make sure it is stable. adjust memory timings and/or vdimm if not stable

finaly, overclock the CPU. move your multi back to 9x and adjust vcore until stable.

working in steps like this makes it much easier to troubleshoot what is not stable.

good luck and let us know how it goes.
