Yep, tried all kinds of different ones, 5-5-5-15,also 16 and 18. Tried 6-6-6-15, 16,18. tried different vdimms.

I figured it out. It is the CPU that won't go over 500FSB. I put the RAM in my Max Formula and could get into Windows above 500FSB so it must be the CPU. I just find it hard to believe I can pass Orthos at 8X500 and not be able even to POST at 505 FSB.
I didn't think to get a screenie at above 500FSB with the RAM, but here's a shot of the E8400 at 500X8 for 12 hours.
Damn
Does that sound weird that I can pass Orthos at 500 and can't even POST at 505.
BTW It isn't a FSB hole I tried every 5 above 500 to 550 to see if it's a FSB hole.

500MHz FSB limits are almost always related to the motherboard/BIOS. Check to see if there is a BIOS update.

Doesn't meant the BIOS is the problem. Many motherboards have limits of 500MHz FSB.
