Overclockin e2160 - Page 2

Thread Starter
I am currently at 230 fsb just fine, I was at 225 earlier and it worked so I thought 230 would be a good starting point. Here is the ram that I am using.

Here are all my cpuz screens, should I keep adding a small amount everytime, or do these give you new insight? Thanks.

Thanks for all the info... one of the first things I noticed is you are running your RAM at a 1:2 ratio... so at present with a FSB of 230Mhz... your memory has uped to 460Mhz which translates to it running at 920Mhz (double data rate)... and your memory is rated at 800Mhz... so it might help if you can rather go for a 2:3 ratio and later depending on how how you can push your FSB maybe to a ratio of 1:1 (but that will only come into play with a FSB of 400+... which I'm not sure is going to be obtainable... but it would be great if it was... just remember to test for stability and for temps... just because the PC boots doesn't mean it is OK

Thanks for the help, Im testing for stability and temps now with speedfan and orthos at 2.4. I was hoping to get to the 2.8 to 3 range. Any tips on the temp (I was thinking keeping it under 60). But thanks again for all the help.

Under 62c is seen as safe for L2 steppings. You don't run the risk of long-term damage until well over that.
