Not if you have proper cooling.

No as long as the temps stay down,.
I recommend getting a better cooler as the stock cooler sucks.

i use the vf900

btw my card is at 720 core and 1750 shader.

As long as temps dont go above 80c you wont harm the card.

agreed with all above. Adding voltage via a vcore or vmem mod is what you have to be careful with.

Well temps are going to 83-84c so I probably should keep it at stock right? Also I can't buy a cooler at the moment...

Use rivatuner to turn the gpu fan speed up to 100%. Then check the temps.

I highly recommend the Accelero S1 for a 8800GT cooler, it's not that expensive either!

Yeah... check the fan speed, theres no way it should be that high.. i have mine at 700core and it never goes over 60c on stock cooling

Clocking the memory to just under 1000mhz will prolong it's usefulness.
Card memory only rated @2000mhz
