32-bit or 64-bit: The Collection - Page 2

Just a suggestion, but maybe you should put the title of each thread next to the link for each thread. That might help people find what they're looking for a bit easier.

Well I don't think this thread should be stickied (unless the links are more descriptive of where it goes, which question is being answered.) Instead I would recommend a thread be made with differences between 32 and 64bit and pro's and con's of each.

But the titles are all in the ballpark of the same exact thing. It's all some variation of "32-bit or 64-bit."

Ok, look: I clicked on 5 of the links randomly. Here are the titles:

"32 bit versus 64 bit"
"Vista 32 Bit VS. Vista 64 Bit...What one??"
"Vista 64 or 32 ?"
"vista 64bit or 34bit" <-- Not a typo
"64-Bit OS Questions"

You get the point.

Pick any of them on that list... They all ask that question.

I'm a bit pessimistic, though; I have my doubts that a sticky would even be enough to stop the onslaught of this infinitely recurring topic.

I agree completely, but at the same time if people look at this thread they won't bother clicking blindly. If a nice thread was put together to explain the differences then when a new post gets made about it we can just refer them to it. Plus most people (and I've been guilty of this myself) think that their problem/question is unique so they make a new thread which can usually be answered by at least 5 other threads.

If noone else has put together a thread by next week then I will start to work on one. Only time will tell if its effective.

You do it. I'm so sick of this question that I don't even want to write about it lol

lmao, I'm on it! But in time, I finally learned 64bit is the way to go, even though... I still have not switched yet. Too poor.. I'm so sorry for being shameful to whoever said it. If I do not know something I want to ask it making sure even though I have read through a bunch of the old threads when before I asked the question, but like stanrc had said, no one directly answers the question. I see this in a lot of threads.
