CL4 gSkill r WAAAY to expensive

You go for RAM that *looks* better? Fair enough...TBH, all RAMs use similar chips (generally D9s/Promos at the moment, along with some Epida) and Team guarantee the use of D9s in their Xtreem stuff which is why I tend to recommend it Anyway, let's get back to helping this guy out, I think we can both say we've got some pretty good RAM

Porky - those prices are expensive and there isn't much choice, what about asking the seller if he'll ship these to you:

http://www.overclock.net/sale/308991...b-g-skill.html

That would be a much better deal, and they are HZ's so likely use D9s which are good overclockers

hey m8.......

buying them overseas is a big mission....in south africa we have foreign exchange regulations etc , bassically , if you wana send me $100 its fine , but im not allowed to send you $100......the government did that cos when aparteight ended , all the whites started selling their rands and buying dollars and pounds and sending their money overseas.....

soo ill prefer to get the stuff from the site for a bit more expensive but a less of a hedache!.....

look around...and let me know which one i should get.....

ALSO , im running stable now at 3.2ghz , vcore is 1.4125 (is that high?) , and ram voltage is 2.10v.....and perfectly stable....is it worth the extra cash soo i can hit 3.4ghz and maybe3.6??

under full load im hitting 59C , with aircon on its down to 50c , soo i dont have a lot of degrees left until i hit 70c

Ahh, interesting stuff there re: imports/exports I would say you're best off with the Corsair, you can see what chips they use here:

http://ramlist.ath.cx/ddr2/

Try and choose some with Micron D9s if you can

Whether it's worth it or not is up to you - you'll see a performance increase, but if it's worth the money...well, first up decide if you can afford it or not, and then see if there's anything else your money would be better spent on

Looks like the early revisions used Micron D9s and the later revisions have used other chips which don't clock as well...

Whatever revision they are, they will still be a decent boost over your other stuff! And you'll be able to run 4GB in dual channel, which will give you a 5% - 10% performance boost at stock
