I need help with my fsb:dram ratio, i currently have it on 3:5 and when i try to change the memory settings in the bios the computer refuses to boot. It wont boot unless its on the automatic settings. What am i doing wrong? and is there a way to change the fsb:dram using a software?

O.s Windows vista
Mb : intel d946gzis
ram 2gb 666 mhz
Intel celeron 420 1.6 ghz

please help

never NEVER use software to change anything that is tuned in the bios, bad idea!

anyways, you may need to up your DDR2 overvoltage and MCH or NorthBridge overvoltage to get it to boot

ok, but my bios is very limited and dont see any options for voltage changes. I can increase my fsb and but my fsb:dram ratio would still not increase. Anyone have the same board as me and know how to get it to change to 3:4 or 1:1.

Seeing that that is an intel board, I can see why it's finnicky. You're best off leaving it as it is and picking up a new board.
