Yes. It was Hibernation 100% without a doubt, cross my heart and hope to die, etc, etc...

All I can say is that I don't use Vista, so I don't know what happens if you go extended periods of time without rebooting it.

As I said before, Hibernation was designed for those who rely on batteries. It wasn't for us who rely on A/C power (unless you're trying to save money on electricity).

So, since you may not be relying on battery power, try not to get too excited about it. Like I said, it has come in very handy for me to check my BIOS while I'm in the middle of posting a message. Or it comes in handy when I know I don't need to reboot, but I want to do my part and help save money on the electricity bill, so I send into hibernation.

I'd better shut up before I write another essay.
