Quad Guts

Thread Starter
I want to go to a quad core with 8G for graphics apps that use cpu on a limited budget, so I wondering if I am targetting decent parts. My current New Egg wish list is below...

http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/...Number=5980945

My objective is first to get a stable 64bit quad core system, then get into overclocking later.

I looked at a TT, but wasn't sure if it would fit in the case properly since the case I will use in the beginning is a smaller old case with 5 80mm fans which leaves about 1/2" space between the PSU and the edge of the MB, but has great airflow.

This will be a major step up from my sempron 3400+, 1G ram, and mx400 vid; so I need to make sure I am getting parts that will work decently together.

8G must mean 8 gigs of ram. Lets see...TT? Could be themaltake...I am still confused. Wait...is there a question here?

The question is, am I looking at decent of parts on my wishlist or is there something that may cause problems or something that is considered to be a *bad* part.

Your parts look fine but 8gb of ram is overkill. It is also out of stock.

But, your video card is going to be a huge bottleneck, thats a POS.

I dont think so all the time. It is possible to use 8gb of ram.
