[InfoWorld] How to dump Vista SP1 - Page 2

Installed on 2 computers, no complaints from me.
i kinda wish my workplace would move to Vista just so I could experiment with it, but all the old software we use doesnt work on Vista. We'd move to new software, but we've yet to find anything that works as well as what we've got -_-

Vista x64 has worked flawlessly for me since day one, including SP1.

All of this Vista-bash is just plain getting old. XP users are starting to sound like OSX users.

SP1 couldn't get past my corrupted files with either safe mode, last known good settings, or repair. It locked up during stage 2 of 3 of the update on 3 specific files, I had to go into repair->command prompt, and manually delete them.

I love Vista, and SP1 (now that it works). I won't say it was a smooth install though. Glad I had another computer to get online and find out a fix for my problem.

I used the SP1 registry hack to download the servive pack weeks before it was officially released and I haven't had any problems since. I did however have a few bugs corrected with the sp so I don't get what everyone is complaining about. All this is is people hating on windows vista cuz they don't know how to fix a few simple issues that probably aren't windows related anyway.

Yea man I dunno....it seems that people are really quick to blame it on the latest change in software, even though they sloppily install it
I saw someone post here yesterday saying that SP1 fried his RAM and ruined his hard drive.......no I'm not even kidding.

Vista has never given me a problem. I've only bin using it a couple months though. Installed it, updated it, she's bin flyin ever since.

Probably just a lot of people trying to run it on old/crap hardware.

Only problem SP1 did to me was it canceled my countdown timer block So I was sick of tired of doing the bypass so I went out and bought OEM Home Premium ... And wouldnt you know newegg charged and sent me two Vista Home Premiums OEM

Anyways both times I upgraded to SP1 no problem at all.
