laptop cooling pad

Thread Starter
i'm about to get a gaming laptop and i know that most cooling pads pull air down instead of blowing cold air onto the bottom of the laptop. Is there a way to revers the polarity of that? say the antec cooling pad?

would that be the same as having more intake fans as opposed to outake to where it will have a negitive affect on temps?

I just ordered one of these Xpads. It's a passive cooling device that basically just adds space between the laptop and surface that the laptop is sitting on. I read 4-5 reviews on it and every one said that the thing was amazing.

Once I get it, I'll post a review about it. It should show up within the next couple of days.

Check your laptop first to see if it vents out the rear or the bottom. I had 2 laptops one vented out the back the other from the bottom. One pulled air from around a grill on top next to the LCD screen and the other had vents near the hand rest beside the touch pad. One had no vents or holes for my cooling pad to blow into. So check your laptop first.

P.S. I started gaming on a laptop also so have fun.
