Can I measure more than 60fps?

Thread Starter
Well, I want to see how many FPS I can get in WC3. I tried fraps, but it maxes out at 60, and it rarely wavered from 60.

Is there a way to measure more fps?

that happens to me sometimes, but I have gotten over 60fps on fraps before

I also just thought of something. My screen refresh rate is set at 60. That could have something to do with it.

Turn Vertical Sync off (v-Sync).

some games have a max fps set and you have to go through a"console" to change it

ie
/max_fps 0
Warcraft 3 has a fps cap of around 60, my sig rig will never go much higher. If you can break this cap I would be quite interested, let us know if you make any progress. Subscribbled.

There is no such console in Warcraft 3.

Actually you can get it to 62 or 64. I can't remember how, I think I had to force v-sync off on my drivers, rather than leave it allowing the application to decide. I was really curious one day and did a bit of research on this, but was not able to find any kind of registry hacks to uncap the fps and eventually gave up.

Might be impossible.

fps max is set to 64. I would google around for how to get it higher, but I'm too lazy.
