That's not that low if you've got the fan on stock speed. I'd guess it's pretty average.

Not that it's terribly important in this particular case, but what those sliders are set to are NOT your real clock speeds. Check the rivatuner graphs. I suspect you'll find that (if memory serves) you're at 756/1899/I forget what the closest mem speed to 1030 is.

When I run at those clock/shader speeds, I set my fan to 58%, that's the highest it'll go without getting louder than the rest of my machine. If I go with a much lower speed than that, I start to get occasional freezing problems.

I had the fan at 60%...

What do you think was up with it?

My shaders won't stay stable anywhere above 1865 or so. Is there anything special you guys are doing to get 1900+ or am I just unlucky? Temps are around 58 when it starts artifacting.

From what I have read in some more extreme overclocking situations, ideally you want to keep your cards temps below 53-55 in order to achieve even higher overclocks. I have contemplated getting an HR-03 GT for this purpose, but I feel like I'm sacrificing more than I'm gaining by doing that. Also make sure you have adjusted your fan speed to something higher than auto, most use 60+%. I have found anything over 70% to be way too loud. Also bear in mind that the frequencies of these cards operate in "domains" rather than discrete frequencies. So 1865 would actually be where the shader jumps from 1836 to 1890 and thats where you lose your stability. I think cooling has the most influence on your results, but luck certainly plays a part in it.

Thanks, I would have thought it was voltage over temp and probably end up overvolting. I forgot that GPUs operated in straps as well. +rep
