Ya its like there shoving consoles down out throat. Like there are so many great PC games and they have like a little section beside the checkout for PC games at my EB games. But I never shop there cus the lady who own it is a ***** who has no life and is always there being an ass hole to kids.

You never see massive preorders for PC games. Its always either the XBOX or PS3 versions that get that.

And I have an Xbox 360, the only thing that makes the games look better is surround sound and my big 42 inch plasma, other than that most games will run at a higher resolution on my computer, not to mention load faster and run smoother.

Last console I ever had was the NES. No not the 64 version either. Once I got my first PC I never played that thing again. I tried playing on a friend of mine system (R-type), but could never do as well trying to mash all the buttons. Now that several systems have the ability to use a keyboard/mouse I suspect they are easier to use. Still, I have no intention of buying a console system. PC's will always be more powerful and have better graphics...

...plus I can do much more with my PC than just play games... (besides the SO would whack me upside the head with a frying pan if I was hogging the TV during Hockey Season)

PCs will always be more powerful, period, but consoles will soon be the mainstay of the gaming world. One of the reasons is that it's easier and cheaper to produce console games. Further still, now that technology allows consoles to have impressive graphical and processing capabilities, no longer will there be a gap between PC and consoles. As for digital distribution, there is no reason why it can't be applied to consoles either, specially now that they all have solid online capabilities. Sorry, but PC gaming was always for the enthusiast; it was true back in the early days when only people in the know how (and dudes with the cash to burn) were the only ones to be able to enjoy true 3D gaming, and nowadays when PC gaming lacks any real exclusivity and is only really useful for setting benchmarks and "wowing" the public with far out visuals.

you're right. All pc gamers are the coolest guys ever, and all console gamers are douchebags.

OH WAIT

number one reason I stopped playing CSS are the douchbags, especially the young ones.

Just because its more mainstream to play on a console, does NOT mean they are douches. Quit being so nerdy and worrying about the jocks and what not that play on them. They aren't douches just because they don't like you. (which is probably the unspoken root of this douchebag calling)

If the main purpose or goal is to play games most people will choose the console because its easy to setup with your home theater system. Its very plug and play.

However if you are an avid FPS or RTS gamer than you will obviously buy a pc.

two different groups of people . PC's are for people who have money and are not afraid of technology.
Consoles are for people who are afraid to get dirty.

You go to a store and see a PS3 next to a computer. You are there to buy some form of entertainment, what will u buy?
price tag 600 vs 1500.

In theory most people will buy the PS3 because its cheaper. However those that like technology and are curious buy the pc because it can do alot more than a ps3 can.

Also keep in mind that in reality a console is not cheaper at all. To use a console you need a high def television (ps3 or 360) that will set you back at least 500 dollars for a 24 inch ... but why if u want high deff get a 40 inch... thats another $500 +

Oh right, you want better sound ... $500
Oh yeah! your buddy wants to play with you! ... $40 per person (controller)
Oh wait .. I have to buy all my games from a store! Costs of discs are more expensive than downloading games off the internet. (thank you steam)

All in all you end up spending more money on a console then you do for a pc. It is just easier to spend less money at one time.

Oh yeah, the console graphics cant be updated ... shux

Just my two cents

One thing to learn.
If you amazing at any online video game

Console gaming world
- You have no life.

Pc gaming world
- Haxor, Because we all know your the best at any game and no one will ever be better than you!

That is what i have learned from both sides on how they feel about people that are truly better than them at something that does not really matter. The main reason why i left the console gaming area was because there is much better spread of skill level in each game. Less annoying 15 years old that talk there wireless headsets into he bathroom with them and yell into the mic when you kill them. Funny thing there on the PC still too damit. But at least now i have to join there vent or TS to hear them since most servers have voice turned off to save bandwidth. I always really like the fact not many people have a mic unlike the Xbox where ever single person has a mic and never shuts up.

But the problem i have now if i get called a hacker and get banned a lot. Hasnt been so bad lately ever since i`ve be just sticking to scrim and CAL, TWL, Cevo matches where i have to record demos and everything. I like the PC version of things much better there are truly less douche bag losers on there, dont get me wrong there is still plenty of them though.

PC advantages:

-more power (prettier and runs better)
-customization (once you get something on a pc, it can be modified in so many ways)
-steady platform (you don't buy a new console, you just buy a new graphics card)

Console advantages:

-easier to pack in a back pack?
