People don't realize that the price for a Video game Entertainment system is the basically the same no matter what it is you play, Xbox, Playstation, Wii, or PC.
People are always saying things like:
You go to a store and see a PS3 next to a computer. You are there to buy some form of entertainment, what will u buy?
price tag 600 vs 1500.
But if you think about that, that's entirely false.
The modern American (or European) practically can't live without a computer. everyone needs one for one thing or another, myspace, email, paying taxes etc. So, either way, everyone is going to have a computer.
If you buy that 600 dollar PS3, can you pay your taxes with it? nope, can you visit myspace? nope, email? nope, go to OCN because its the best site evar? nope.
so you have to buy a PC on top of that, which we all know, just for the most basic functionality, will run you anywhere from 700-900 dollars from an OEM manufacturer.
And then when you take into account the fact that the quote I posted above is completely wrong, since it doesn't cost nearly 1500 dollars to build a computer capable of running every single game on the market maxed out (crysis doesn't count) you begin to see the bigger picture.
So, next time you're thinking to yourself "Ohh man, PC games are dying because consoles are cheaper" remember thats its not a question of price, not even close.... Its a question of intelligence, and PC Gamers are smarter, but sadly, fewer in stock
