Appraisal: Raffle for CPU/RAM/mobo bundle Is there enough interest?

*** If this thread belongs somewhere else, sorry. I couldn't think of anywhere more appropriate***

Please remember, this is just a thought and I am in no way commiting at this point. If anything in the TOS has changed since last time or if there are certain things I need to know/do to make this legit, please PM me.

With the recent post about another raflle (the last one was a success) I have been thinking of raffling off a CPU, mobo and RAM combo. I have been trying to get the $$ together for a Q6600, so instead of selling my items individually, I think this would be a fun way to do it.

I am trying to gauge interest to see if I could sell all the tickets in a timely manner. The items would be:

Gigabyte DS3L, rev. 2
Intel E2140 or E2180 (I haven't decided yet) Both M0's and OC well.
2x1GB Crucial Ballistix DDR2 800

The only thing I may add is a cooler. I have an Intel OEM one, but I may need it. I am thinking of selling 20 tickets at $5 each. I would like to add a few provisions.

1) Minimum of 5 rep and 50 posts (I reserve the right.... I am trying to stop people from either: creating new accounts to get more tickets or creating an account just to get in on this. i would like this to benefit the OCN members only.)

2) Money to be sent via paypal only (I am not going to deal with MO's or checks, sorry)

3) Limit of 4 tickets per person

4) Spots will be held up to 25 people. The extra 5 are in case payment falls through etc.

5) You MUST submit payment within 24 hours of close time. (close time being once we get 25 people commited)

6) I will include shipping to the US

So, let me know what you think. Please PM me if you have any ideas or think something sh9ould be changed. Mods, please supply your imput as well. I plan on using an OCN mod to help choose the winner if I decide to do this. (If thats OK )

I think the first one we had was great and it gives someone a chance to get most of a rig for $5. plus, it is fun

If this goes through, I expect to put it together and post the thread once I get my DFI back from RMA> It has been received by NCIXUS and should be back to me in a week or so.

OK, looks like some people are game. I would like to make sure there is enough interest before I go with this. it looks like it is going to be a bit before I get my DFI. I didn't realize that when I shipped it to WA, the collect it and then ship it to Canada. (one shipment per week) I gotta say, I am not a big fan of NCIX. their CS is poor and I have already been without my mobo for 2 weeks and now it looks like it will be at least another week before the ship it back.

Alright. This is looking better. I will have a proper thread in the FS section when this is legit. I will also try to PM those that posted an iterest here when I do. I am estimating 2 weeks before it is all ready to go. I am hoping we can get a few of these going this year.

edit: So, 8 posts and 1 PM for 9 intersted so far. Also, let me know if you would like me to amend the rules or add some. I don't want to forget anything and want to make sure it is as fair as possible.
