I would just get a second 3850 or even a 3870 and crossfire them.

I think its the 256mb 3850 bottlenecking you man, because i can score 9500 and your cpu is like 700mhz faster than mine. Ive seen 3850's breaking 10k but maybe thats because they were the 512mb versions.

Try modding the bios so you can get the core to around 800mhz and ull see a big increase.

Thats pretty close to my system and I broke 10,000 with some video card ocing. Our systems can handle every game that is currently out at 1280x800 resolution which is pretty damn good for budget systems.

I wouldn't even consider getting a SSD at the moment--they're very overpriced, and it's not proven just how long they'll last. Their read/write speeds aren't impressive, and the only thing they have going for them is their low seek times--but when you're loading a game, you don't care about seek times as opposed to read speeds. Besides, for gaming "performance," the HD you have won't really affect much--the only time you'd really have to rely on the HD for gaming is before you actually start playing, when the levels and game data are being loaded into the RAM from the HD (in which case, the faster the better)--but after that, you're dependent on your CPU, RAM, and gfx card.
