Windows vista constantly freezing

Thread Starter
I just built my new rig with windows vista basic 64bit os. I come to notice the frequent freezes it gives me completely at random, but seems to be more common when i am viewing a video. As far as i know all my drivers are up to date and i have all the windows updates. One driver however doesnt seem to ever update, which is my driver for my netgear wireless adapter wg311v3. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the new drivers multiple times but i check the driver version under device manager and it still states previous vers. I need this new driver because it supposebly fixes the problem with it not working with windows vista with more than 2gb of ram, i have 3gb available.

I dont know if some diagnostic tool can help or something else iam missing.
Also my MSI live monitor application for my motherboard doesnt launch properly giving me a bunch of errors when it is opened.

So you can see something isnt right....

Could be anything...

Try reinstalling (almost always the best fix for something gone wrong in windows).

If it's still a no-go, upgrade to XP.

I had a similar problem once with Vista locking up. For me it was video drivers not working correctly. Try a different version. And when all else fails, reinstall the OS all together.
