Yeah Bud, looks like you didn't luck out with that VID. I have a 1.1875v VID and even that is higher than I'd like.

How does your system do with Prime95 or OCCT? I would think you might still be able to lower your vcore and get stable @ 3.2GHz.

I ran orthos for 10 hours blend with no problems. I lowered it to 1.35 and ran orthos for 30 minutes without a problem. I havent tried OCCT or Prime yet

Edit I decided to run OCCT cpu went well for 17 minutes then everything froze. I went into bios raised the voltage back up to 1.356 OCCT crashed in about 5 minutes. I cant be bothered with this anymore gonna just leave it at 3.0 lower whatever voltages I can and be content with it.

orthos doesn't work properly on quads, as it only runs two threads not four. That's almost certainly why you didn't have problems in orthos.

Ya know, it just occured to me that that 550W corsair PSU simply might not be up to the task....

well you maybe correct my vid card requires a 400w ps I have 2 DVD burners, 2 silverstone fm121 fans and 2 scythe ultra kraze fans 1 of them is on my heatsink and a Sunbeam RHK-S Rheobus 20W Fan Controller and one HD. Is that just too much for my psu?

yes, because your chip draws 95W itself... probably more when OC'd. For your rig I'd recommend this PSU at a minimum....

Updated

1.26v and haven't really pushed it at all yet. Posted a wish OC at 4.04Ghz without even blinking at 1.32v. Encoded a movie but wouldn't pass OCCT, but all I changed was voltage a tad. This is very promising Water/TEC setup coming tuesday should have this smokin (no heat related connotation there )
Updated.
