Huh ?

If they are so hell bent on adding RAM why not include 2 sticks of DDR in the pack so we can actually apply it where it will be useful?!

This is a lame attempt to go after that market of pc noobs that are still under the impression that videocard ram dictates performance. If I had a dime for everytime I heard someone say, how come you get better frames with your 256mb card and mine has 512?! A lot of people fail to realize that a X1600 with 512mb is NOT better that an X1950XT with 256mb. So these noobs are going to search for the highest vram and think this 2gig card will beat anything else on the market and spend thier money on this gimmick.

^ agree! Also manufacturers are trying to get rid of the 8800gt stock they got, thats the reason for increasing the vram... to get some $$$ while losing stock...

this is just sad. 1gb vram is nearly too much for 512 megabit. 2gb with 256? would need 1 gigabit for 2gb...at least...

same with new cards...2 GB might be nice....better cooling is nice too...should be able to look in the window of my tower and see all of that extra we pay for religiously.
