Re-read my post, you clearly didn't understand my point.

Never did i say vista had anything to do with GPU memory management. I did make the comparison that until vista, most OS's did NOT fill up their entire RAM module, even when it is most effecient. That is why when you open up notepad in vista, you're using next to all of your memory. Cache speed > HDD speed.

Your computer can only carry a certain amount of memory according to the bus, yes. The difference is, computer memory uses much more cache, memory that is not immediately needed. When i say "immediately", I of course mean "less immediately" than a GPU's memory, because as we all know, they're next to nothing in realtime.

I think Tc covered everything i was getting at.

More stupid trash... Even if you have this 2GB card, its memory bus is tiny and it doesn't have the raw power required on its own for ultra high res gaming.

512bit and 1gb version no differnt? dam logan realy from tigerdirect realy made out the 1gb version of the 2900 was alot better then the 512 version "last time im listening to him"
