My friend has one, 4gb version, black.

The celeron processor does indeed get warm at the bottom, nothing like the heat of a GPU of course, but pretty warm down there (borderline "hot")

Yus there is, here is some news on it, I believe its coming in May with the Atom processor, 1gb of RAM and the option of a 12GB SSD. Also an 8.9 inch screen @1024x600 resolution. Its the same chassis but now the screen takes up the whole lid, if you get me.

Definitely will be getting one

That sounds like it addresses the two main concerns I had with these buggers. The screen was just a hair too tiny and the HD just a shade too small.

Hrmm.... hook up an external USB drive (for media). Detach the touchscreen from the PC. Mold touchscreen into dash. Viola, a CarPC. This could be VERY interesting. Especially with a large touchscreen (compared to the normal 7" of CarPC's). You'd spend nearly 200 on the 7" screen alone, then another 300-500 on the computer.

Interesting...

I'll definitely keep my eyes out for this one. The article says $500 at release with imminent price drops... I'll probably pick one up in august or september

If they come out with a slightly cheaper (maybe ~350-400) I'll definitely pick one up regardless of touchscreen. The only thing I don't like about the current EEE pc's is the small screen, any model with a 1024x768 screen would be great though
It's actually 1024x600.
