X-Fi + Headset

Thread Starter
I have a Sennheiser PC160 headset. For you audiophiles out there, will a X-Fi be worth it on one of these? If not what would be a decent headset to use? I would like to have a mic attached to so I can still talk to people in games.

Not an audiophile, but I recommend the XtremeMusic over the XtremeGamer and the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude over both. Good headphones= HD555 (Currently $89 on Newegg!! $60 off), good headset, look at the Sennheiser gaming series.

I did a search for "HD555" on NewEgg but nothing comes up.

Edit: They're out of stock.

OH, It will definatly make a difference! you'll get higher Highs, mids, and lows! Its like an AMP on a car so to speak.

Its always worth going X-Fi no matter what your using.

As far as a better headset, you've got a decent one, but if looking from the Sennheiser lineup, your best bet would be SENNHEISER PC166's.

Its got decent optoins, and its headphones are quite good.

I just got mine and I LOVE them. Definitely a great buy and a good investment. I don't even have an XFI :S

I have this exact setup (Prelude+ HD555) and they sound amazing....just got the headset from newegg yesterday. I guess they sold out fast.......lucky me
Get them here for $84.99.

BTW I've owned the:
Xtreme Gamer (non Fatality)
Xtrem Gamer Fatality
and my current prelude and I would go ahead and spend the extra cash on the prelude if I were you.

I went for the Prelude, I've been disappointed by Creative in the past.

Tell us if you like it. I'm curious about Creative alternatives also...
