Which X-Connect is it? X2-Connect, XVS Connect or just X-Connect? I ask because the X-Connects are the old models and are literally time-bombs and I wouldn't even trust it to run fans. The X2 and the XVS are better but are still at the low end of the scale.

I don't like the X-Connect original but I used one for about 1.5 yr without any problems. My brother used his for 3.5 years before it died, then he got one for free from Ultra on the warranty. Again I don't like X-connect necessarily; it worked for me but if you have a choice definitely go with the Antec.

The model is Ultra Xconnect . The label says it "supports Pentium 4" so I suppose it is old.
The date says 2004.

My dad, who knows NOTHING about computer just bought it so he could get the rebate. Other than that it's been sitting unopened for the longest time.

They all say that on the box. It's a copyright date. The actual manufacture date is on a sticker on the unit. For example: "D06" would be April 2006.

If it's "ULT-31XXXX" it's made by Youngyear and is complete crap.

If it's "ULT-33XXXX" it's made by Wintech and is somewhat decent.

Call Ultra and tell them where you got it from and when and they'll send you a modular PCIe cable for it.
