What kind of school requires Macs? That's ridiculous/funny lol

I had it running on my sig rig when I still had my 7600gs and it ran like a charm, had full HD audio, full Video/3d Acceleration everything ran better than a real mac in most cases.

Just got to get the right hardware and you're golden.

While it may not be illegal to run OSX on non-Apple hardware, it would be illegal to install it on pc hardware without purchasing it first.

I do not know of a single person on the planet running OSX on their PC that has actually purchased the software, and owns a valid license for it. If you have downloaded OSX from somewhere and have to use a crack to install it, then, YES, it is illegal.

You might as well go and buy a MAC if you want to be a law abiding citizen, and have to run OSX at your school. If that does not matter to you, run a google search, and you will find guides on installing it.

cnet did a video explaining how to run osx on a IBM Thinkpad. It is not illegal to do so. EULA is absolutely not a binding legal contract, and often EULA's contain illegal text.

If I wrote into the EULA that I own your wife after you install a program, would you believe that too? (women are property after all)
Is this another example of a "bring down the companies!" rant? Another "I feeeeel this is right, so it must be right?"

"in most cases." That was my point. It won't be 100%.

It was not a bring down the companies rant. I own an Apple iBook G4. Furthermore, I am a Windows user as well, and currently perusing an MBA at SUNY Stony Brook. While this doesn't build my credability...

Obviously I am not a hater of corporate america.

Just act condescending towards everyone around you, have a smug "I'm better, I'm different, I'm more innovative and classy" look on your face, and use a snotty tone of voice whenever anyone asks you a simple computer question.

Then you surely will have everyone convinced that you are using a computer running OSX.

Certainly installing it on a PC is not illegal, if you purchase a copy of it legally. Tell me honestly, though, are you going to purchase a copy of Mac OS X legally to install it on a laptop? If the answer is no, then downloading it and installing it is illegal.

It's in a legal gray area, but nobody has ever been sued/investigated/arrested/any other form of legal recourse because of it. Remember, it's also illegal to jaywalk

That's real cute.

You still owe me an apology, and I'm going to remind you that every time you reply to my posts. You know what I'm talking about.

Vista retail may only be transferred ONCE. That means you could have just purchased two OEM's for the same price.

Read up on it a little before getting all worked up about Vista OEM piracy and then spreading false information about Vista Retail that will cause people to unknowingly commit piracy.
Real smug. Smooth, too, if I might add.
