Mac OS X on Windows - Page 3

laws like this must be enforced before u know they are actually laws.

Much like patents, a company claims to have a patent on in game facial expressions. Im serious.

Yes, it is.

I've worked with a flaming Apple fanboy for the past nine years, and had my eardrums raped into hearing about every god-forsaken gimmicky, trendy, "better-than-yours" product that Apple has released during that time.

Apple's marketing strategy disgusts me, and so do the foolish sheep who lap up their liquid BS. Steve Jobs does not crap gold nuggets, and I feel that he is a creepy, megalomaniacal douche.

I do not claim to love Microsoft for its business tactics either, but much like Apple, I use and enjoy their products on a regular basis.

I did NOT reply to your post in this thread, I replied to the OP, and made a very generalized half-joking statement.

Not only did I have NO IDEA what you were talking about the last few times you have randomly jumped out of nowhere asking me for an apology, I didn't even have a desire to research the subject last time you accosted me. I forgot about that post I made in that nearly month old thread about the same time I hit the "submit reply" button... I'd already moved on to spread my rampant misinformation elsewhere.

I suppose if I wanted to, I could track down every time you've made a mistake in one of your posts, and demand that you apologize to any innocent forum member that you may have offended.

I won't though, because I don't find it satisfying to rub it in when other people make mistakes, nor do I find any gratification in a forced apology. I guess everyone is raised a little differently though.

That was vanilla flavored compared to how smug I can get when I am actually trying.

BTW, if you had just PM'ed me something along the lines of "Hey, actually MS rebuked that statement" I likely would have said something along the lines of "Wow sweet! Sorry man. ", to show the surprise I just felt when I read through the rest of the posts in that thread a few minutes ago, and found out that my Vista Ultimate retail copy isn't a paperweight anymore.

Also, I thought I "knew" that only two installations were allowed based upon numerous posts, blogs, and news articles, some from at least semi-reputable sites/sources, many of them dated LONG AFTER Vista was released, a point which another poster in that thread reinforced.

Perhaps you should go hunting all of them down for an apology as well?

I know the apple morons exist. I have a friend who told me "welcome to the family" when I got my MB. I giggled and rolled my eyes.

The point is: those people are out there, not on this forum. The reason they're not on this forum is because they're too stupid.

Well maybe I shoulda looked it up sooner and made it more clear. But that's what it felt like to me - you accused me of falsely spreading information, and when the evidence popped up, you were nowhere to be found.

If you ever find a post of mine erroneous and can show me why it is so, I'll gladly retract it and apologize.

The offense thing I'll have to pass on, since anyone's feelings can be hurt by satire these days

Congratulations, your $400 license is yours to keep. Hopefully you didn't go out and buy another one.

Ok, fair enough. I apologize. I probably should have left out the "not everyone is raised the same" comment as well, so I also apologize for that. Sometimes I just can't seem to help myself from being purposely caustic.

I suppose I must admit to occasionally experiencing the guilty pleasure of a forced apology at times myself.

We cool?

e: Oh, and also I haven't bought a new copy yet either luckily. I have however installed more than twice though, so call me a felonius hypocritical EULA pirate if you must.

You see, sometimes I see things as mere satire when they're meant to be hurtful, and other see it the other way around I guess. I didn't see that as offensive lol
