Anyone know how to get the red dot back that sits next to the clock when media center is recording. It used to show but for some reason its not anymore, It is set to show in media centers options?

TIA

Right Click on a blank spot on your taskbar, and select properties on the menu. The Taskbar and Start Menu Properties box should open, click the Notification Area tab, and click the customize button, the Customize Notification Items box should open, find the red dot on the list and make sure it is set to Show, and while you are in here you can configure whether you want other icons to show or hide.

Let me know if that fixes it, and I'll try to help you out if it doesn't.

jdub, thanks but I've already tried that mate. I can remember this happening before and I just left it untill i needed to re-install the os again which obviously got the dot working again. I just thought I'd ask on ocn as it's a bit frustrating not being able to see the dot when your doing something else on the computer. I bet its a registry tweak or something that's required but I can't really be bothered to spend hours looking for it

Can you think of anything else?

Cheers
