I use these custom setting:

Brightness 50
Contrast 75
MagicColor off
Color Tone Custom
Color Control
R - 30
G - 30
B - 30
Gamma Mode1
Sharp 36

Everything else is standard. I found a lot of info on color settings/profiles on google.

This only works with analog input.

MagicColor boosts colors either selectively or globally and blows any calibration out. It's really a demo feature for in-store displays. You can experience the same effect by turning Digital Vibrance to full, which you would never do.

go with hp, they have great monitors, although a little spendy, but they have the best lighting and contrast, i saw a few being demoed at costco and they are realllllllllly nice.

Ok, I pretty much kept everything at default except I turned off MagicColor. Dynamic contrast seems pretty cool for gaming though.
