After some rigorous testing they crowned some offbrand I've never heard of as the king of TIM's, MX-2 didn't even make the top 10 in their tests, OC Freeze was 2nd, all the tests were conducted with the same settings, the only variation on these temps is obviously Curing time for the TIM. I like the next article they setup 55 different tim's that they will be testing, I'll be sure to link when they post the results as Epic Cooling + Epic TIM = Epic OC =)

Yea I'm not too sure about that. "Since the MX-2 does not contain any metal particles, there are no problems regarding electrical conductivity or capacitance. Unlike other silver and copper compounds, MX-2 ensures that contact to electrical traces, pins and leads cannot result in any damage." I'd stay with arctic silver 5 or MX-2 in my opinion.

"Most" TMI's that are popular are like that though. lol

Aluminum Oxide (OCZ Freeze) Is also that way, it's nothing new or special.

I think most people are just afraid to try anything else when the differences are only 1-3c and requires work on your part. But, Graphics cards were the same way, as were quads before they picked up. Requiring a leap of faith and testing before understanding that they are better =P

True, I'm just quoting what I've heard on the forums over on tomshardware.com. They all prefer the MX-2 over Arctic Silver-5 which got me persuaded lol. All preference I suppose.
