@ the OP:
Looking at some of the replies, you're getting info that more generally pertains to the conventional quad (Q6600), not the Xenon quad you've got. You have much more head-room than us mere-mortals. The max temp for a Q6600 G0 stepping is 71C measured at the heat-spreader, according to the Intel documentation. The Xenon has a max temp of 85C at the same reference point, so you have quite a bit more room to move.

I stress test small FFT at 66C, but for everyday temps, I fold at 59c, a hair under 60, so I'm comfy leaving it there 24/7.
