In before flames.

EDIT: Ok, I'm here. Here's whats wrong buddy.

YOU CANNOT OVERCLOCK A PROPRIETARY BOARD/COMPUTER.

Now that said. Your Pentium 4 and 8500GT PCI (notice the lack of a "e"?) are going to stuggle to max out CS:S, so why are you complaining about Crysis?

No offense, but you should get to know your system and compare it to others before you think that a simple FSB increase will magically get crysis to pull 4x AA on Very High.

And no, you're system specs aren't "good". For an average user, maybe, but not an overclocking community that has members running rigs with THOUSANDS of dollars of hardware, dual quad core CPUs, 8GB of RAM, and quad-GPU solutions that I dream of at night. My system can barely be called aqudate.

Check this link if you want to OC your Dell.

Thoese are not good specs. Even with overclocking, (you cant overclock a prebuilt system form dell, hpo, or others.) you would never be able to play it. Look around and ask a few questions on building your own new rig.

Dells cannot be overclocked. Your video card however, can be.

Honestly though, even overclocked, you still won't be able to play crysis.

Thanks Guys, I have a got a GEforce 8500gt PCI from www.sparkle.com.tw i can overclock and i am extremly good at overclokcing on graphics cards with either Ntune or Atitool i can sustain an overclock of 600mhz for both core and memory but any higher and it makes the screen all wacky.

My friend has a dell dimension 3000 he overlcoked it to 3.2 GHZ i really want to do this i can't thingk of any way other than software to overclock my mahcing thanks.

Edit: Only ever oc a laptop thats all.

It is not possible. Dell may have overclocked it for him at the factory (possible now, they sell QX processors and knock up the multiplier one notch), but once it leaves them, the BIOS is locked down so tight you'd have a better chance getting a Nun to take off her habit.

God, I'm getting good with my analogies.

Dude, your sig... seriously.
Crysis Owns.
It surely does own.
It owns you.
All 5 fps (per second) of it. :turd:

So to reiterate what everyone is trying to say here.

YOU CANNOT OVERCLOCK YOUR DELL. Painful truth, I know.
