Help me with my June Build

Thread Starter
I bought the system in my sig rig like the second these things came out and it cost me a LOT. A year and a half has passed and these things have become too old. They wouldnt sell for half their price! Finally, i got a great deal on my processor, 320GB HDD and the 800mhz 2gb ram so i sold it. Now, i am thinking of upgrading to a rig that's extremely overclockable and super-fast. I have saved up about $700 right now and am willing to save more for two months. What i will spend em on is a new mobo, proc and ram. I need your feedback to finalize my list. Im thinking:

A 790i SLi Ultra board
Q6600(or if any other cost-effective, highly oc'able 45nm quad is out)
Ram is undecided.

I was thinking to go ddr3 once and for all. I dont want to change this board for atleast one and a half year!!

yea get a 790i DDR3 and the best budget Quad out at that time. Then if you have extra money you can Sli you GTX which will probably drop even more in price. Or you can sell teh GTX now and get a 9800GX2 or maybe a HD4xxx card at that time.

I don't know. If I get the 790i now, I have to spend hundreds for DDR3 ram. Instead, I get a 780i and ddr2 ram for $300 and use remaining money for something else. By the early next year, when the DDR3 drops, you may get 790I and DDR3 at the same price. Plus current stage of DDR3 doesn't give me any performance boost over DDR2 but this is just my opinion thou.

Whatever gives me best performance! I already bought the waterblock for my 8800GTX which is a full coverage block. Its brand new but it wont sell here so im sticking with the 8800GTX. I'll tri-Sli it when price drops further! Right now im not gaming that hard anyway. How much would the fastest ddr2 ram and a 780i board cost me compared to a 790i board and slowest ddr3 ram?

Hope 790i owners can provide inputs here. Maybe few percentages if there is a difference.

Thats the reason behind this thread. I'll gather as much info and feedback here as possible before ordering. Last time i didnt research the mobo and went for the p5b-deluxe wifi. This time, i need to chose everything properly.
