Thanks for the tip I will try these settings and continue to work with it over the weekend.

Of course I can't afford to replace the cpu I just got it 3 days ago. I was hoping to achieve 3.6ghz but I will settle for what ever I can get I am running on air any way and don't won't to push the temps much. I like for the cpu to run around 33C or less at idle I don't like to push my load temps above 45C. Right now it is hitting 29C idle so I have a little room left if I can figure out the right combination of settings.

I would like to keep my memory timmings where they are also because it tests very well. And according to the P5N32-E SLI over clocking guide I found on this site (excellent source of help on this board) it states that the T1 with tight timmings runs much faster on this board and that is true.

I have tried voltages from 1.35 to 1.55 and the thing just won't boot past 3.2ghz
I have it set at 3.20ghz and 1602 front side bus right now and that tests perfectly stable for 12 hours with two instances of prime 95. max temp I seen was 48C ram is at 4-4-4-12 T1 around 888mhz every thing tests stable now problems what so ever but I can even get a bootup with any settings past this. You guys have any suggestions?

Hmm E6750 and P5N32-E

Movie thanks for ure comment

I actually found this combo to be a good one

u must use the 1203 bios.

There is also a Vdrop mod for this board and it works great.

http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=134100

Thats the link

I dont use this board anymore as it not stable with 4gigs of ram.

Anyways for 3.6ghz try this.

Vcore 1.45-1.48 anywhere between that.
Memory : I found that could be some of ure problem this board is VERY fineky with ram. Ballistix work Nicely with this board. (Tested myself) What exact memory is it .
HT : 1.2v
NB : 1.5v
SB : 1.55v
CPU VTT:1.25v

Another Thing I Wouldnt go past 1.5v on the NB on stock cooling . The NB gets very hot on stock cooling so be careful. Thermaltake Spirit 2s are a great aftermarket cooler.

If you do install these coolers u will also need to replace the Mosfet coolers. Thermalright HR-09S and HR-09U TYPE2 fit and work well for this board.

Here is a link: http://www.thermaltake.com/product/C...4/cl-c0034.asp

So thats 1800 mhz QDR run ure memory at 900mhz for 1:1 and just releax the timings to 5-5-5-15-2T for now.

Dont use 1T for now its hard to get stable even on this board just use 2T.

If u need some more help PM me mate

The only thing I see is that your mobo could be holding you back. Even tho I have the e6850. With those setting you should hit it higher.
If you know someone with a mobo that can take you cpu. You can test it out. That way you know if it's you mobo or cpu.

Mate i tell you know THE BIOS has a big impact on overclocking on this board.

I couldnt pass 1600MHZ QDR on any bios besides 1203 with the E6750.

Here is 3.7ghz on the P5N32-E SLI with Ballistix at 925mhz 4-4-4-12-2T 2x1gb kit. (1203) bios

With my cpu I thought I shouldn't pass 1.4 on the nb. But if it is ok to do 1.5 on the nb. I am going to try that. I can hit 4.0 @ 1.47 but not stable with orthos.

You have a totally different board and CPU. (Looking at ure sig rig)

Nvidia chipsets get alot hotter than any P35 or X38.
I've been reading about the Nvidia chipset lately. Still have alot to learn about them.

bios version is the newest one 1308 I believe. I will try going down to the 1203 bios and see if that will help.
