Ocing E6300/680i A1 mobo

Thread Starter
Well I want do a little OCing (I am newbie at OCing). Well I have E6300@ 1.86Ghz Stock. Got it too 2.6 GHz on my 680i motherboard(p32 bois). I have a stock cooler( for now, ordering a better cooler/memory shortly) But right now I want to get what I can out my system stable. My memory now is prolly going to limit me badly.

1GB Corsair Value Select 667mhz (Pc-5400)in dual channel..sad I know.

Stock timmings:
667Mhz
Cas lat: 5
5-5-5-15
Volt - 1.9V
but Cpu-z reads:
333.4Mhz
FSB: DRAM: 4:5
Cas - 5
5-5-5-15
Bank cycle - 18
Command rate-1t

So if anyone can help me get the most out what I have, i'd be really greatful.

I tryed Ocing my memory once, unlinked up volt to 1.9. I uped it to 676Mhz not a lot..comp wouldnt boot. I read people Ocing this memory but I'm not understanding how

this is more of a ram thread not mobo. you should read into overclocking ram.

dont up your voltage until you have too. keep stock voltage and increase the speed until you cant boot. then up the voltage by .025 and keep uping the volts untill it boots.

however dotn go to far or you'll fry ur ram. cheers
