Quit being a smug whore. Nobody gives enough of a **** to attack your OS, hence, you don't need that stuff. Gain some market share and come back when the hackers and trojan/virus programmers care enough to exploit all the vulnerabilities that are present, will ya? Also, grow a pair and uncensor your OS, take the flames like a man...like most of us Vistaids users have to. I'm not going to respond to your responce, so say whatever you must...but quit being so smug and uncensor your OS.

Nice to see the truth coming out. Also goes to show that market share is as big a player in security as security is, since the buggier and holier OS is attacked less because there's so few users compared to the slightly tougher to get into OS. I still wanna see what Apple has to say about the macbook air that got pwned in 2 minutes via a Safari bug.

Asking for proof and bashing people are NOT the same thing. What is it with you people around here? I guess they stopped offering logic classes in high school in order to fund the opera and art programs.

Not really, but go on...

I sure hope you're not implying that I haven't ever used vista.

Likewise, the 10 min you guys spent at the apple store doesn't equate to "experience with the OS." And you know very well that 95% of people here haven't had actual experience with it.

If vista is so great, then why can, Linux for example, run something as amazing as Compiz-Fusion (which, by far, blows aero out of the water) on a computer with a quarter of the specs?

It's vista's fault; no one should be having to upgrade their computers like m$ is forcing them to right now.

I don't know what to say. Is that sarcasm? I honestly can't tell.

Market share is gaining, and so are the attacks. At least that's what the numbers say.

The OS is Suse 10.3, but I was using that very generally as a joke since OSs are such a touchy topic around here.

That was a cute post, though

But like I said - futile. People are already dead-set on windows being the only way. For now I'll just be happy with what I've got and watch you guys discuss which AV is the best.

I really hope that apple crash and burn. I hate it how smugged they are. They can't even build a proper patch for repairing their heating issue with their stylish laptop. In-addition, they can't even build a proper h/w device such as an apple ipod. My 6th generation Ipod has broken down twice(i.e. the original one and the replaced ipod) and its only 3 months old.

My cousin has OSX leopard its the most annoying OS ever made(I have used a mac before). And they still don't have a right click I mean come on. MS may make buggy OSes but at least they are user-friendly and they at least can run programs/games unlike apple . Sure their products look nice but their user-interaction is horrible.

You are a product of those Mac commercials, you believe every word don't you?

OSX is a locked down controlled OS. I can set and change anything I want in Vista or XP. It works with EVERYTHING, and it is very stable. As the recent news stories have shown, Vista is more secure than OSX.

Get off your high horse.

You keep bringing up us discussing AV? I really hope symantec has good definitions for osx because if i'm not mistaken they have the only av that works with your AMAZING rock solid osx.

not only that. But if it(your computer) breaks down you can't open it. You have totake it to a MAC store specialist. Which can take forever to repair.

You can't even build it yourself how crap is that.

I guess I'm the only one who knows how the basic scientific method works, since it seems only I can see that a contest != a test.

ClamXAV, updated every single day, not at all intrusive to the OS...

No one wants to hear anything anymore except "I love vista" and "I hate mac." Any question to apple hatred or vista superiority can only make one a fanboy. A guy like me is toast around here.

No one wants vista's superiority or crapple's crappiness questioned, so I suppose I have no place in these threads anymore. I thought I was helping, but I guess we'll now let the flames spread rampant.

I thought you said you werent going to fight for the mac os anymore in your previous post? That seems rather hypocritical to me. Ive used the osx since it came out and have always had problems with it and dont see why anyone could like it. It runs half the programs and who cares what it looks like, if you dont like the look get a skin... I also find that the whole ms making people upgrade thing is bs. You dont have to get vista, xp is still supported and is still fine. But then I think about all the osx versions that dont run certain programs or dont work on older mac hardware. That to me seems like apple is screwing their customers to me. You also like to side with apple and think that you have the most secure system when in all reality it was just proven that osx is the least secure of the 3 os's. /rant

I've never used OSX so I wont knock it....all i'll say is that I use Vista and not a single spyway or antivirus program. That software is for suckers.
