Hell, maybe I'll go for one under HD's too..so long as they stay quiet!
Wow Adrienspawn…going for 20 fans!!! You are out of control amigo…..and I like it!!! I guess that puts you up at the Haxorz squared category.

I finally had some time to go thru this thread and agree with everything said (my testing brought me to the same conclusions on the Slipstreams and Ultra Kazes, etc… and the UK2000 is still my favorite cpu fan--it's got the perfect mix between cfm and dbs for what I need!).

Yes, definitely +rep on this and another vote for the making of stickyness to this thread.

As for me, I am a @ 9 fans using the following setup:
Front Intake:
- 2 120mm Scythe S-Flex (E top front and F bottom front intake)
Side Intake:
- 1 80mm CoolerMaster blue led
Exhaust:
- 1 Scythe Slipstream 1600 rpm
CPU:
- 1 Ultra Kaze 2000
GPU
- stock blower fan
NB:
- 1 50mm stock
SB:
- 1 40mm? Stock
PSU:
- 1 120mm stock

And P.S....After seeing all your pics here, I no longer feel guilty about beating you to the picture post on that Kama Bay thread last week!!! Hehehehe.

Ahh there aren't nearly as many pics here as there will be after I finish up the exams. This was just made quick to give the basics, the real stuff is coming around mid-june.

Well then, let's fix that with a pic of my Vendetta with Ultra Kaze 2000 blowin some serious cfm and kickin the shiitake out of the heat coming from cpu (47C OCd load temp, yeah baby!!):

...another pic, but please try not to laugh too much as this was taken about a year ago before I got serious about air cooling and using good 120mm fans on the inside:

It did drop my cpu temps by 5C so I was happy at the time (I look back and just laugh now). Cheers.

...and finally, full frontal Scythe S-Flex power...yeah baby part II (current setup):

Of course, this pic is without the grillz that fit over the fans. Also notice that the aluminum brackets for mounting 2 80mm fans have been cut off in front of the bottom fan. No need for those restricting airflow (like I'm gonna go back to 80mms, ha!)!

Their noise is fine on low-med, but on high, their noise is too much to warrant the cfm, IMO. If you want to change speeds without a fan controller, they are good, but if you want something more powerful, there is better.

Best bang for the buck in my opinion, right now, are the scythe fans. Choose the one of your choice in terms of noise. Remember that anything under 25dba is nearly inaudible in a case, 25-28 is average fan noise, 28-33 is just slightly annoying while trying to say, listen to someone's words carefully on youtube or at night, 35+ dba should be toned down with a fan controller.

update: balloons on like 3 pics now
