i did not put on the cpu cover aso. maybe tats 1 of the reason the cpu died..

Ya.. the 1st cpu i destroy.. use for only 1 year n 5 months... gotta squeeze some money to buy an e2180..

Not to be mean and I know this really isn't helping to resolve the probem but the OP needs to go back to computer kindergarten.

Why would you begin to remove the IHS to begin with if you weren't going to finish the process? It's risky to begin with and if you didn't feel comfortable with it in the first place you shouldn't have done it. Also why would you use a dry duster to clean components that are particularly vulnerable to electro static discharge?

Wrong place to vent, I know but some people make me sit back and scratch my head while wondering what the hell they were thinking.
