IC Diamond 7 Carat Thermal Compound - Page 2

this stuff is very effective

however, you'll want to lap your chip before using this. it's quite an abrasive, so applying the stuff and cleaning it off of your proc will remove the lettering on the ihs, voiding your warranty in the same way that lapping does. it happened to my e2220 and to my phenom 9950. currently, i'm using it on my lapped yorkfield, but i wouldn't use this stuff on a chip that i didnt want to lap to begin with.

So what is the verdict from you guys using it. Is it pretty good and worth the switch over to it?

Well I just switched from AS5 to diamond tim. I am very pleased with the results. I just wish I had gotten better tim a long time ago instead of sticking with as5.
