Which Quad CPU?

Thread Starter
As the title suggests, "Which Quad CPU?" is right for me. I would like you to keep in mind price/performance ratio as to which CPU would be best for my needs.

I intend to be running it on a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L or the GA-P35-DS3; any other recommendations as to which motherboard I should get would be greatly appreciated.

The CPU will be used mainly for:
  • Folding
  • Gaming

Here are the CPU's I had in mind with their price:
  • Q6600 - $269.99
  • Q9300 - $334.58
  • Q9450 - $376.49

I do not plan on purchasing anytime soon as I do expect to wait on the prices to drop in April. Not sure which one would be best for my needs and if the price/performance really makes a difference here. Leave your thoughts below

Thanks in advance

All the 45nm quads are overpriced.

Stick with the 6600.
