NVIDIA Monitor Event Log help please!

Please excuse my noobish-ness, but my event log always show same values for everything listed. For example, I would start the log when cpu is idle for 15 min, then play game for an hour; then when I check the log, everything was the same based on the first value posted (no temp change whatsoever). However, coretemp, gpu-z, etc programs clearly showed that there is a rise in temp. :scratch head:

I would suggest using the data logger in Rivatuner, IMO its far better than the Nvidia one.

Is there any tick box saying "enable background monitoring"?
