Bioshock installation error! Help me please!

Thread Starter
I just bought Bioshock today, started installing it, got through the entire thing, then a "CmdLineExtInstallerExe.exe - Unable To Locate Component" window pops up. It says "This application has failed to start because WSOCK32.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem." I've tried installing it in both Program Files and Program Files (x86). Can someone please help me?!

Seems like yuo don't have an Internet connection on that machine. Am I right?

Bioshock is annoying in that regards, since it automatically downloads updates and patches... no way around this. No internet means no Bioshock.

n/m

I also had very big problems installing BioShock. And the problem turned out to be that my firewall blocked the bioshock updater.

I assure, I have internet access. When I try to close the window, It just pops up immediately. When I close the CmdLineError process in Task Manger, close the window, it starts downloading updates, which it does complete, then when I try to run the game, it shows me the same message.

Where do I save it?

I have internet access on this computer. The same computer I'm using to post, is the computer that I'm trying to install Bioshock on.
